If you’re looking for an idea for your next queer couples photoshoot, have you thought about heading up to a local rooftop downtown? That’s exactly what we decided to do for Megan and Molly’s LGBTQ+ couples photoshoot in Nashville, and I am completely in love with how their photos turned out.
Everything about this evening was just perfect. The Canadian tuxedos & the amazing sunglasses, of course, but also the incredible love Megan & Molly share that shined from the moment I met them at golden hour. I loved watching them giggle together throughout the whole shoot, and it was an honor to capture moments of them in their own little world.
When I asked Megan and Molly how they met, they told me they met on Hinge. So let this be a reassuring reminder to us single gals out there — Hinge success stories are real!!! Because if this isn’t a great example of finding true love via a dating app, I don’t know what is.

Why I Loved This Queer Couples Photoshoot in Downtown Nashville
There was so much to love about this Nashville couples photoshoot, where do I even begin?
To start us off, Megan and Molly understood the assignment with these outfits. I am absolutely OBSESSED with the denim on denim — and the cool shades they whipped out later in the photoshoot (check out those photos below; they’re some of my all-time favorites). I mean, these might be the coolest outfits I’ve photographed during a couples photoshoot. As soon as we met up on the roof of the Nashville Library Garage, I could not stop gushing about how AMAZING they looked!!
And wow, I only continued to obsess over them as we got into shooting. It was so fun to watch them laugh together and witness their comfort with one another. They told me they’d never had couples photos taken before, but I never would have known—they had so many cute posing ideas of their own, and I was able to capture so many cute photos by simply watching how they naturally interact.
As a Nashville photographer for LGBTQ+ couples, I never take it for granted that this is my job—to capture the beautiful love that two people share. It was such a privilege to photograph Megan and Molly and to spend an hour hanging out with these amazing people!!
