Ainsley’s Northeastern Senior Photos in Beautiful Beacon Hill, Boston
When Ainsley told me she wanted to take her Northeastern graduation photos against the beautiful backdrop of the Boston Public Garden and quaint Beacon Hill, I was SO EXCITED!! It’s obviously so fun to take photos on campus, but it’s also incredibly significant to have your senior photos taken right in the middle of the city where you spent so much time during your college years.
Since Ainsley isn’t from Massachusetts, I’m so happy we got to capture photos at some of the iconic spots in the city where she’s lived during her time at Northeastern! I know that having these photos to look back on is going to be so special in the years to come post-grad.
I loved every single second of this graduation photoshoot—where to even begin??
Ainsley and I met up on a gorgeous May morning to explore one of my personal favorite areas as a Boston senior photographer. We had the best time finding the best spots in Beacon Hill for senior photos and reminiscing on her time at Northeastern. She had the cutest outfits, and I couldn’t get over how perfect everything worked out for her photoshoot.
We then made our way over to The Boston Public Garden, where all the flowers were in full bloom—and the energy in the city was electric (thank you, marathon weekend)! Everything combined to make this photoshoot a Boston photographer’s dream!

Our First Stop: Boston Senior Photos in Scenic Beacon Hill
Ainsley and I started her Boston graduation photoshoot at the bottom of Acorn Street in Beacon Hill. This is one of the best places to take photos in Boston because it’s simply so iconic—and not to mention, incredibly picturesque!
If you want to take photos on Acorn Street, I always recommend doing them as early in the day as possible so it’s less crowded. Acorn Street is a popular tourist destination, but if you start early enough you usually have it all to yourself!
Because Ainsley’s photoshoot was in the morning, we only had to pause very briefly for just a couple of tourists who also wanted photos of this beautiful street (and can you blame them? Just look at how gorgeous!). Plus, the beautiful morning light could not have worked out any better for these photos!!
I love how Ainsley’s gorgeous white dress popped against the beautiful red brick background of these streets. If you’re wondering what to wear for your Boston graduation photos, you really can’t go wrong with a classic white dress—especially when it contrasts so perfectly with the setting!!
After grabbing some of my favorite graduation photos ever on Acorn Street, we just meandered around Beacon Hill and I stopped us for photos anywhere that looked particularly picturesque. That’s why I love Beacon Hill photoshoots—there’s truly no bad place to take a photo! Every corner of every street makes such a dreamy backdrop for the perfect Boston senior photos.
Onto Location Two: Ainsley’s Graduation Photos in the Boston Public Garden
After we finished up at Beacon Hill, Ainsley changed into her second outfit (a gorgeous, classy navy blue dress) and we headed over to the Boston Public Garden. This is one of my favorite places to take senior photos in Boston and it’s easy to see why. The beautiful pond, the blooming flowers, the weeping willows, the bridge, the city skyline… there are so many great backgrounds for photos, and we used all of them!
Even though the gardens were lively and full of people enjoying the beautiful spring weekend, we were able to skillfully dodge the crowds and capture some amazing graduation photos for Ainsley. This is another location where the earlier you shoot there, the better so you can avoid having people in your photos!! I made sure to photoshop any photobombers out of Ainsley’s final photos 😉
I love that we finished our session in the most gorgeous patch of orange tulips!!
I had so much fun being Ainsley’s Boston senior photographer and I’m so glad she choose to have her photos taken at two of my favorite spots in Boston!!
